Christophe Billon Cote Rotie 'La Brocarde' 2020La Brocarde is a locality of the appellation located in Cte Brune. The classic steep hillside of La Brocarde is composed of clay and iron oxide along with granite, mica, schist rock and limestone soils giving this wine a dark and tannic profile. A blend of Syrah (97%) and Viognier (3%), La Brocarde undergoes fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks before going into new french barriques for 26 months. I bought them in black and I like them so much I will be buying the brown soon. They fit true to size and are comfortable and stylish. I like the clean simplicity. They're basically a dressy sneaker which is perfect for my job's 'dress code'. Yet they're stylish enough to be worn weekends or a night out.
